Russia Has New Nuke: “Satan 2”

Russians are not known for their creativity when it comes to naming things.

A Russian design company has recently unveiled one of the newest weapons in Russia’s arsenal: The Samart Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. “Satan 2,” for short. This weapon, it is reported, has the power to wipe an area the size of Texas or France off the map.

CNN reports: The missile will have a range exceeding 11,000 kilometers (6,835 miles), TASS said. The warhead will weigh 100 tons and is designed as a successor to the R-36M Voyevoda.
According to a statement posted on the maker’s website, “the Sarmat is designed to provide strategic Russian forces with a guaranteed and effective fulfillment of nuclear deterrence tasks” and is being co-developed with the Russian military.

You know two words that just go perfectly together? “Russian military” and “deterrence.”

This latest advancement in nuclear technology comes at a time when NATO is bolstering its defenses, and Russia has earlier given up on an arms reduction agreement with the United States.

On the bright side, if there’s one thing I know from my time in history class, it’s that America never responds to provocation with tit-for-tat moves. There’s no way we would respond by just building an even bigger missile! I mean, that would be crazy and a blatant step back into Cold War habits… which we totally haven’t been doing already…

Excuse me, I need to look up prices on a decent fallout shelter.

Wasting our resources on destructive endeavors may actually achieve homo sapiens most pressing need – reducing population. We certainly do not want to spend those resources on education & birth control. Almost impossible for anyone to make tons on money on that.
