This is completely unrelated to the story, just a random thought: if there really was an international conspiracy of Jews running the world, there’s no way Israel would put up with any of the crap it goes through.
Pakistan’s defense minister, taking a short break from glaring across the border at arch-enemy India, decided to threaten to destroy Israel in a nuclear holocaust. While Israel’s existence being threatened is nothing new, this one comes as a surprise. While Pakistan and Israel have no diplomatic ties, they share a common “ally” in the United States, and should theoretically be on the same side. (Of course we all know that’s a load of crap, but nothing about international relations in that part of the world is simple.)
So what did Israel do to receive these threats? Believe it or not, nothing! This recent threat of nuclear warfare and the potential death of millions, if not all mankind, was made over a piece of fake news.
Yahoo News reports: Khawaja Asif was responding to an invented story published on the website AWDNews and headlined: “Israeli Defense Minister: If Pakistan send ground troops into Syria on any pretext, we will destroy this country with a nuclear attack.”
“Israeli def min threatens nuclear retaliation presuming pak role in Syria against Daesh (Islamic State).Israel forgets Pakistan is a Nuclear state too” the Pakistani minister tweeted Friday.
His missive prompted a clarification from Israel’s Ministry of Defense, which responded to him on Saturday:
“@KhawajaMAsif The statement attributed to fmr Def Min Yaalon re Pakistan was never said,” adding: “KhawajaMAsif reports referred to by the Pakistani Def Min are entirely false”.
Defense Minister Asif is basically Pakistan’s luddite (and slightly racist) uncle that leaves paragraphs-long comments on social media that lose their train of thought halfway through.
Mr. Asif was widely mocked for his mistake, according to reports. Because, you know, threatening nuclear war because you were too lazy to do some fact-checking is worth laughing about! I mean, if we can’t laugh at ourselves then who can we laugh at? If one of these people pushes the big red button, that answer will be “nobody.”
